Order management for a moving company
The order was closed by phone from a room count. On the day there is a hoist that was never priced, the crew is already on another truck, and the customer is waiting with boxes that were not in the call.
Who it is for
For a company with several crews and trucks on the same day. A poor fit for a one-off private move with no inventory and no scheduling.
Problems this page addresses
A quote by rooms, a job by boxes
Three rooms were agreed. On site there is a storage room and a piano. There is no line showing what was added after a survey, if a survey happened at all.
The same truck twice
Two orders the same morning were given the same truck, because dispatch and the call center do not share a calendar.
A last-minute address change
The customer sent a new floor or an entry code on WhatsApp. The driver leaves with the old note.
What you get
An order with an inventory
Unusual items, floor, hoist, and distance sit on the order. An extra after a survey changes the price before moving day.
A truck and crew assignment
Each order gets a truck and a crew that are free in that window. The same truck cannot be assigned twice unless the first order is released.
A driver update from the phone
Address, code, and a last-minute change land on the order the driver sees, not in a message that stays with the dispatcher.
Common questions
Does every move need a survey?
No. A small move can close on an inventory the customer confirms by phone. A survey is recorded when the items or the access change the price. Without one of the two, an extra on the day is an argument.
Does the driver update status?
Yes: left, on site, unloaded, exception. An exception such as stairs or an item that was not on the inventory is logged on the spot, so the office sees it before the crew finishes.
Is this tied to a renovation contractor?
Only when the move is part of a renovation site. Clearing contents from a site can be an order here. The quote and the renovation crew stay on the contractor’s page.

Job management for a renovation contractor
The quote went out on WhatsApp, the change on site was said out loud, and the crew arrives in the morning without knowing which room was closed yesterday. The client asks why the price moved, and there is no line that shows the extra.
