Client management for a tax advisor

An assessment, an annual return, and an appeal run at the same time. The real date belongs to the tax authority, not to the spreadsheet. An advisor with dozens of files discovers a gap only when the client calls in a panic.

Who it is for

For a tax advisor or a small office with a filing season and both private and business clients on the same desk. A poor fit if those files are already handled inside an accounting firm with no separate path.

Problems this page addresses

  • The authority’s date is not on the client

A filing date sits in a personal reminder. A second client with the same return type never gets one, because they were added after the calendar was built.

  • An assessment file with no document list

The assessor asked for three documents. One arrived by email, one by WhatsApp, and the third was never requested again.

  • A free sheet that collapses in season

The sheet is enough for ten clients. In season it becomes copies, colors, and rows nobody trusts.

What you get

  • A filing calendar by case type

Annual return, assessment, and appeal each get a date on the client card, with an open or filed status.

  • A document list for the assessment

Each request from the assessor is an item. What arrived is closed. What did not stays open with a reminder date for the client.

  • An automatic reminder before the date

A few days before filing, the advisor is reminded, and the client is reminded only if something is still missing. Not the same message to everyone.

Common questions

Is a free spreadsheet not enough?

It is enough with few clients and one filing type. It stops being enough when several date types fall in the same week and more than one person touches the file. Then the duplicate rows cost more than a system.

Is this the same page as the accounting firm?

No. An accounting firm’s season is collecting papers for an ongoing report. A tax advisor’s season is a specific assessment, appeal, or filing against the authority. The fields and statuses are different.

Can a reminder go out without confusing the client?

Yes. It goes out only for an item that is still missing, named in Hebrew. A client who already sent everything gets nothing.
